“We can do hard things” becomes my hourly life mantra. It is my affirmation that living life on life’s own absurd terms is hard. It isn’t hard because I’m weak or flawed or because I made a wrong turn somewhere, it is just hard because life is hard for humans and I am a human who is finally doing life right. ~ Glennon Doyle, Untamed
What a luxury it is to take the time to curl up with a good book. I am a huge lover of books, and you will find all the corners of the pages turned over and paragraphs underlined, so I can return to them again and again.
I always like to share a passage or two in my yoga classes. I feel like words have the power to feed our soul.
‘Untamed’ by Glennon Doyle did just that. I have a bit of a habit of buying books and never having the time to read them all…. So now, I have taken advantage of this extra down time to immerse myself in a little reading. (I have also been shamelessly Netflix binging, but that’s a story for another time.)
‘Untamed’ is Glennon’s memoir. It is hysterical and raw and emotional with an underlying theme of being true to yourself in this life. I don’t want to give the story away because it’s just gold! It is filled with so many relatable little gems that provide meaning and support. Her words are a powerful reminder of our shared human condition.
I hope you will curl up with a chai or a glass of wine and enjoy.
