Thank you for your time in completing our return to YogaHara Survey.
We recently sent you a survey about our return to face to face classes and your feedback has been inspiring in helping us move forward. Here is a summary of the results.
There were no real surprises regarding the classes you would like to see, but we have noted that a large number of you (45%) wanted a meditation class. So Nina will return with a block of 5 weeks of meditation classes starting on July 14th. This class will be offered online for term 3.
Your responses also made it clear that you have enjoyed the online offerings and would like them to continue, so you will see both Virtual and in-person classes on the timetable for term 3, which we love. There was also an overwhelming request to include a yin or restorative class so yin will return on Thursdays at 7.30pm. You will need to bring your own blanket, block and bolster (or towel), as well as your mat.
We were so humbled by the beautiful words you used to describe YogaHara. Words like welcoming, nourishing, peaceful, safe, community, connection, friendly, supportive. Plus some of you were a bit creative with things like ‘Abso Lutely Necessary’, ‘My happy space’. They were all great words and we feel the same way.
You also told us that the main reason you come to YogaHara was because of the teachers (90%)❤️, and our approach to yoga (85%). And to be honest - I agree with you.
When we opened it up to you to share with us anything at all, our hearts exploded with your responses. So many beautiful, heartfelt comments. Some of you shared how difficult it has been for you during covid both physically and mentally and we want to send you our love and encouragement to ‘hang in there’. Some of you said that YogaHara at Home and our online offerings were essential to you being able to function effectively during this challenging time. And some of you expressed your gratitude for our free offerings during a time of financial uncertainty. But almost all of you said ‘hurry up and reopen’ 😂 which was so great to hear.
We also received some really useful suggestions that we are looking into. The downside of making it anonymous is that I can’t contact you to flesh out your suggestions, but feel free to contact me directly with any further questions, comments or thoughts.
Finally, several more of you offered to sponsor people to come to classes. It is just so kind. Thank you. We have always offered this and we usually have just the right amount of people wanting to sponsor and people needing support. But now, we have more sponsors than people asking for support so I will keep you in mind and let you know if we have someone looking to come to yoga on you. I am also exploring avenues through domestic violence and indigenous organisations to offer yoga class sponsorship to people in those communities. My heartfelt thank you again for your generosity here.

With love (and gratitude),
